Turkey cheese pinwheels

A handsome man making a thrifty dinner using leftovers and a recipe he made up is attractive. When he makes it for you, and serves it so that you never even have to stand up, let alone cook, it’s downright sexy. Such is my luck tonight.

Hats off to hubs for this dinner that even men who only grill can make.

Turkey Cheese Pinwheels

  • One tube crescent rolls (processed I know, but we will look the other way for hubs)
  • leftover Thanksgiving turkey, cut into small cubes
  • Sharp cheddar

Preheat oven to 375, or whatever temp is called for on the crescent roll package. Unroll the crescent rolls, without separating them, and press into a rectangle. Spread turkey and cheese in an even layer across the rolls. (Hubs used about 2 big slices of breast and about 4oz of cheese, but use what you have.) Roll up into a long roll and press to seal. Refrigerate for about 10 minutes to make it easier to slice. After refrigeration, slice into 1″ rounds. Lay flat on a cookie sheet, and bake for the time called for on the crescent roll package (or until crescent dough is lightly brown).
