Pork Sirloin Chops

One of the great things about hubs is that he usually has an amazing dinner on the table right as I come in from a long day at work. A kiss, a smile, and some good food. What more could a working girl want?

These pork chops are always a big hit – even with children.

Pork Sirloin chops

  • 4 thick cut pork sirloin chops
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 1/2 bottle beer

Saute onion and garlic in olive oil until tender in a skillet with a lid. Salt and pepper each side of your chops, then brown both sides in the skillet. Pour the beer in, put the lid on, and simmer til done, about 7 minutes or so.*

*Hubs can tell when meat is done by how it feels when he pokes it with his finger. He says that it should feel like the meaty part of your palm at the base of your thumb. Sounds crazy, but it works.
